【前書き / Foreword】

This is not exactly a song.
It’s a quiet image from within —
a landscape of the heart after a storm.
Something I needed to write,
before it disappeared like a rainbow.
これは、いわゆる“歌詞”ではありません。
嵐のあとに心に浮かんだ、静かな心象風景のようなもの。
虹のように消えてしまう前に、どうしても書き留めておきたかったのです。

No one likes the rain, they say
It ruins plans and spoils the day
It soaks your clothes and hides the sky
It makes you want to sit and cry

But after rain, if you just wait
There comes a light beyond the gate
And in the sky — so soft, so low —
Appears a whisper: a rainbow


It doesn’t come after every storm
And rarely takes a perfect form
Sometimes it’s faint, or fades too fast
You might not notice — looking down and past

But in that arch, however brief
There lives a kind of quiet relief
A sign that says: you’ve made it through
Now take a breath, begin anew


You won’t see rainbows looking down
They never fall to touch the ground
They bloom for those who raise their eyes
Who choose to stand and not disguise

They shine for hearts that dared to break
Then found the strength to still awake
For those who walk despite the pain —
A rainbow’s not just after rain


So when the world feels dark and wide
And all you want is just to hide
Remember this: the skies still show
A secret only some will know

You must look up to see it clear
The gift arrives when you draw near
It will not wait, it will not stay
So look up and don’t look away

The rainbow isn’t for the past
It’s for the ones who choose to last
Yes, the rainbow is a quiet reward
For the ones who walked on, wet and floored
Who faced the storm and chose to stay
And took one step to find the way

【日本語詩】

「虹を見るとき」 　作詞：出涸し 文四郎

雨が好きな人なんていない
予定は狂い、気分も沈む
服は濡れて、空は隠れ
しゃがみこんで、泣きたくなる

でも、雨のあとには
雲の向こうに光が射す
やわらかく、低く、空に浮かぶ
そっと語りかけてくるような虹が現れる


嵐の後に必ず虹が現れるわけじゃない
完璧な形で現れることも稀だ
かすかに現れて、すぐ消えることもある
下を向いていたら、気づかないまま消えてしまうかもしれない

でも、虹のアーチの中には
短くても、静かな癒しが宿っている
「ここまで来たんだよ」と語りかけるようだ
さあ、深呼吸して、また歩き出そう


うつむいていたら、虹は見えない
虹は地上には降りてこない
顔を上げた人にだけ虹の花は咲く
立ち上がり、自分を偽らずに生きると決めた人にだけ

心が壊れそうになっても、
それでも目覚めようとした人にだけ
痛みを抱えながらも歩き続けた人にだけ
虹はただの「雨上がり」じゃないんだ


世界がただ広くて暗く感じて
どこかに隠れたくなるような日もある
そんな時こそ思い出してほしい
空はまだ、何かを示していることを

見上げないと、はっきりとは見えない
その贈り物は自ら近づいた者にだけ届く
待ってくれない、すぐに消えてしまう
だから顔を上げて、目をそらさないで

虹は過去へのご褒美じゃない
これからを生き抜こうとする人のためにある
びしょ濡れになって、打ちのめされても、歩いた人へ
嵐の中に留まり、立ち尽くした人へ
そして、それでも、また一歩を踏み出そうとした人へ
虹は贈られる

そう、虹はご褒美さ

【後書き / Afterword】

This piece is less a song and more a reflection.
It came from moments of sadness, recovery, and quiet resilience.
We’ve all walked through storms — some seen, some hidden.
But the rainbow, if we lift our eyes,
is always a silent answer.
この詩は、歌というより「心象風景の反映」です。
悲しみや回復、静かな踏ん張りの中から生まれました。
誰もが、目に見える嵐、見えない嵐をくぐり抜けて生きている。
でも、顔を上げれば、
虹はきっと、黙って応えてくれます。
そう信じています。
